It has been almost a year since thousands of residents from Greater Newburyport and surrounding communities streamed to the newly opened Clipper City Rail Trail to celebrate the completion of its first 1.1 mile stretch from the MBTA station to the Harborwalk. On Sunday, May 22 from 1 to 4 p.m., the city will celebrate the Clipper City Rail Trail’s first birthday, complete with tasty tidbits from local businesses and birthday cake.
