Newburyport Education Foundation Fundraiser

The Newburyport Education Foundation, an non-profit organization that supports the Newburyport Public Schools, will hold a fundraiser "For the Love of Music" to benefit the Nock Middle School Music Lab on Tuesday, February 9, 6-9 pm. upstairs at Michael's Harborside, 1 Tournament Warf, Newburyport. The event features a Valentine's theme and music by the Newburyport Jazz Band under the direction of Danny Harrington and the Danny Harrington Jazz Band. Acclaimed saxophonist Danny Harrington has worked with some of the most talented musicians in the world and is a professor at Boston's Berklee College of Music.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the new state-of-the art music lab at the Nock Middle School. The Newburyport Education Foundation launched a campaign to raise more than $33,000 to fund the premier technology and equipment. Students in grades 6-8 are now learning basic music and writing their own unique musical compilations.
All proceeds raised at the upcoming event will support the Nock Music Lab. Advance admission to the event is $20 per person/$25 the day of the event.
