Edible Garden Group Meeting
The January Edible Garden Group meeting will feature a presentation by Iris Weaver, an area herbalist and teacher, which will focus on healing herbs that are easy to grow in this area, including basic information about recommended sources for seeds/plants, what conditions the herbs like, when to harvest, how to use after harvest …… i.e., teas, infusions, balms, etc. To learn more about Iris visit http://www.irisweaver.com/. The Edible Garden Group was formed by community members who are interested in getting together to learn and share information about sustainable food growing – veggies, fruits, nuts. The meetings are focused on building community resilience through increasing the availability of safe, nutritious, sustainably-grown local food.
