A new and historic experience awaits revelers celebrating the spirit of the holidays – a unique and historic live show depicting a panorama of Christmas Day thoughts and emotions aboard Newburyport ships sailing the high seas.Base on actual ship logs, actors bring alive a tableau of 19th Century Christmas Day vignettes of our mariner ancestors far from home.
Merrimack Valley Concert Band

Firehouse Center for the Performing Arts
Contemporary/pop, movie scores, Broadway, swing and ballroom dance, big band, and traditional marches are all part of the Merrimack Valley Concert Band repertoire. Also up their musical sleeve is a Christmas concert that features songs like “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, “Winter Wonderland” and a sing-along, in addition to their own take on “The Night before Christmas” and music from “Polar Express” as just a sampling.
