Yankee Homecoming’s High School Battle of the Bands Rocks Newburyport
Yankee Homecoming is excited to be presenting our first annual High School Battle of the Bands on Friday, July 29th, from 5:00-9:00 p.m., in the waterfront parking lot, in downtown Newburyport. The event will feature bands from Newburyport, Pentucket, Triton, Amesbury and Governor’s Academy.
Participating bands will have the opportunity to win $100 cash and a recording session at On the Fringe Studios. Applications to compete are still being accepted, through July 15th, and can be found by visiting the Yankee Homecoming website at: www.yankeehomecoming.com. And, we need students to come and cheer on the bands, support their schools and show some hometown pride!
Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door and count as your vote for your favorite band, plus you’ll receive a free raffle ticket for prizes to be given away during the night.
