Word on the Street: Creating an Urban Forest

by Lydia See

On April 15th, The Newburyport Street Tree Committee, with help from River Valley Charter School students, planted 60 trees throughout the city. They began their day with the planting of the 700th tree that the Newburyport Street Tree Committee has planted, demonstrations, and a visit from the Mayor, and then went out into the community to plant. The following images were taken the morning of April 15th.
