April Fools Run to benefit The American Red Cross and The Alzheimer’s Association

The first trick for the annual four-mile April Fools run is… it is this Saturday, 26 March! The Winner’s Circle Running Club will hold its 30th annual Spring Classic this weekend with a start time of 11am sharp at the Winner’s Circle Sports Bar in Salisbury.

Dale Eckert, coordinator of the event, says that nearly 700 people are signed up already. While he is thrilled that proceeds from the race will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, a group he had personal ties to, he is also happy to support the American Red Cross in hopes that funds will assist with the devastation in Japan.

Dale welcomes more runners to join the fun on race day. Come to the Winner’s Circle to sign up on race day with the application and a check for $25 made out to The Winner’ Circle Running Club. The race is a WCRC Gran Prix Race and is chip timed. There will be a limited number of commemorative t-shirts and hats available, medals for first, second and third place in each age group, and cash prizes for the top three overall for both the male and female finishers.

The Spring Classic is a part of the Gone LOCO “Will Run for Beer” series. It is proudly sponsored by the Institution for Savings and Harpoon Brewery.
