Despite the cold and the wind, over 700 runners turned out for the 30th Annual April Fools Race put on by the Winner’s Circle Running Club.

The blustery spring day drove many to wait for the start indoors.

And others to huddle while waiting for one more shot at the loo.

At the registration table, one person thought it best to be blunt and honest!

Time to start! "RUNNERS TAKE YOUR MARK"

GET SET!

And BANG went the starting gun. They were off:

*JUST* under 20 minutes later, the first runner clears the finish.

The female 1st place runner

The baby 1st place finisher who commented that the whole race was really a breeze, "I slept through the whole thing."

And the runners stream in...

A runner who took the theme to heart!

Dale Anne Eckert, wife of race director Dale Eckert, comes around the final bend.
Proceeds from this year’s race will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, and the American Red Cross.
The Spring Classic is a part of the Gone LOCO “Will Run for Beer” series. It was proudly sponsored by the Institution for Savings and Harpoon Brewery.
