Newburyport Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Chat” Sept. 30th, 2010

Written by on September 30, 2010 in Chamber Chat, Exclusively on NBPT-Today

Greetings from the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce and Industry! In the chamber world we are always looking at the calendar and as I write this post I was amazed that yes it’s almost October. October is officially my favorite month of the year! One of the reasons that it’s my favorite is that we hold our annual Fall Harvest Festival on Columbus Day weekend…and it’s just a joy to be in Market Square and the downtown area for two glorious days! From the great music, to the fine juried arts and crafts, the fabulous selection of food from our food vendors and restaurants, the Teddy Bear parade and of course my favorite – the scarecrows in downtown!

If you are looking for something to do this weekend please enjoy this brief overview of all things in the greater Newburyport area:

  • September 30 – Roald Dahl Festival opening ceremony at the Firehouse
  • October 2 – Chili Con-Carnival Cook Off at the Grog Restaurant
  • October 3 – “Poe” at Theater in the Open

For more information on these and other events. Check out our web site for more events and information: http://www.newburyportchamber.org/calendar_of_events.shtml

And as always there are so many options for those that may want to shop, dine, stroll, bike and explore. For a complete list of chamber members go to http://www.newburyportchamber.org/member_directory.shtml

We offer a weekly Member2Member email program in which chamber members can directly communicate via email with other chamber members. These very popular Member2Member emails can be shared with anyone. Often times the information is a banking service offer, a new restaurant menu or announcement of a special event. So here is a sample of this week’s offerings.

And as always, don’t’ forget to follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn.

So get out there and enjoy all that the greater Newburyport area has to offer. For more information just go to www.newburyportchamber.org. We hope you enjoy your weekend and the first real days of autumn!
