The comedic value of the Gizmo Guys, Comedy Jugglers is enough to get all of you (that’s the entire family) to the theater. Even if this juggling duo dropped all those pins and couldn’t keep any balls in the air you would still get your money’s worth. This cynical reviewer was caught giggling from underneath the headphones while watching the promo videos in the office cubical. The Gizmo Guys will produce all the laughs at the Firehouse Center for the Arts, Market Square, Newburyport on Saturday, September 11 during two shows (11AM and 1PM). Comedy aside…these guys are good. Allan Jacobs and Barrett Felker have amazed and amused audiences around the world with their winning combination of dazzling technique and infectious humor. They work in a great variety of venues including theaters, corporate functions of all types, cruise ships…. you name it, they’ve done it. In addition to appearing on such television shows as The Late Show, HBO’s Young Comedians, Comedy Central, Nashville Now and Nickelodeon; they have won international juggling competitions, and taught at top circus schools. But no matter at which venue they find themselves, their act is immensely appealing to all age groups. This truly is family entertainment at its best.
Simply put, the Gizmo Guys are a comedy juggling act. But they are much more. Their act includes original routines, quick-witted verbal repartee and world-class juggling skills in a very light-hearted approach to the art. Their humor reaches audiences of all ages—from toddlers to great-grandparents – and adults have as much fun as kids, so families thoroughly enjoy the show together.
The traditional concept of juggling is “I will not drop.” You, however, as a laughing member of the audience are free to drop to the floor in fits of laughter.
