Floral Fantasy, works by Jane Sydney, is a new show opening at the Newburyport Art Association on September 23, with a reception on Friday, September 24 from 7 to 9 pm.
Through close-up photographs of the intricate details of a flowerʼs texture to the broader view of its structure, Floral Fantasy gives the viewer a taste of natureʼs designs at their best.
Whether rendered in black and white or color, these are photographs of ordinary garden flowers taken in their natural habitat. Using a variety of lenses, Jane Sydney has captured the fantasy of flowers. A photo is a segment of a moment seen only by the person behind the lens but when printed, invites the viewer into that personʼs world. Floral Fantasy shows Jane Sydneyʼs world of flowers.
