Chamber Music Festival – Trio Cavatina Concert and Reception to benefit the NCMF

Three award winning artists; Ann Goldberg, Linda Jo Nielsen and Mike Storella open their exhibit at the Laura Coombs Hills Gallery located in the Newburyport Art association. The artists will showcase their latest collections of oil and pastel landscape paintings “en plein aire” of Cape Ann.
Throughout the week the artists will be on hand to answer questions and demonstrate their painting techniques.

The Tannery Marketplace, 50 Water Street, Newburyport
The farmers market is located in the main parking lot of the Tannery Marketplace, look for fresh fruits and vegetables in season from our local farmers, and enjoy delectables from local food preparers and artisans.

Newburyport Chamber Music Festival – Panel Discussion With Music
Sun, August 8, 1:30pm – 2:30pm & 2:00pm – 3:30pm
Custom House Maritime Museum, 25 Water St., Newburyport
Music historian Charles Speicher and the NCMF’s String-Quartet-in-Residence will give an overview of this year’s programs, which include music by Haydn, Dvorak, Mendelssohn as well as contemporary composers. Meet the artists and hear a Festival program sneak preview. The event is free and open to the public.

A Celebration of Local, Seasonal Food
Sun, August 8, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
20 High Road adjacent to the New Eden Community Garden and chicken Co-op
Join the New Eden Collaborative and Transition Newburyport on Sunday, for the first Local Flavor Community Potluck Picnic. It is a celebration of locally grown, seasonal food. You are invited to bring a potluck dish using as many locally grown ingredients as possible from your garden, CSA, Farmer’s Market or farm stand. Label your dish.
