Ron & Rhonda Weisheit of Praline’s Bake Shop on Liberty Street have been invited to submit an audition tape for the Food Network show “Cupcake Wars.”

The Weisheits got the word from the show’s production company on Monday, and were told they need to submit a three to four-minute video in the next few days. With the help of local videographer Ben Knight, the Weisheits will film the tape tomorrow at the store. Because they feel their customers are a big reason behind their succes, for once scene they would like to open the door to the store and show a large group of their loyal customers outside.

The filming will take place at 2 p.m., and the Weisheits hope they can get dozens of customers to help out and be part of their audition, which could get them national attention and even a $10,000 prize if all goes well.

Anyone who would be willing to help out for a short time Wednesday afternoon can meet outside the store at 3 Liberty Street.
