Jazz CruiseDD Martin was born to sing in St. Louis, Missouri, where her mother, Stella Mae, was a popular Gospel/Blues singer who traveled throughout the South and Europe. She then went on to do television and radio work as well as appearing in Broadway stage musicals. DD spent a number of years performing and touring with many legends in the music business such as: Bill Medley of The Righteous Brother, Little Anthony of The Imperials, Joe Sample of The Crusaders, BJ Thomas; Sonny Turner and Herb Reed of the Platters.
