Fireworks
Newburyport has wonderful fireworks that are set off over the picturesque backdrop of the Merrimac River. They are however set off the last Saturday of Yankee Homecoming, not on 4th of July.

If you want to see fireworks on the fourth, you’ve got lots of options, but you’ll have to venture out of town.

Head to:

  • Amesbury – Fireworks at 9:15 PM at Woodsom Farm. Concerts at 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM.
  • Hampton Beach – Fireworks at 9:30 PM
  • Salisbury Beach – Fireworks 10:00 PM and the also have bands, sand sculptures, family campfire, and even a treasure hunt.

The link you posted to Salisbury's fourth of July celebration mentioned fire works on Saturday night (not Sunday) Do you know if they are also doing fire works on the 4th or just the 3rd?
