After months of planning, the Yankee Homecoming Wine Tasting Extravaganza is just a week away; Saturday, May 22nd! The evening fund raiser begins at 6:00 at Nicholson Hall, 9 Harris Street, in beautiful downtown Newburyport.
Come sample 100 wines from Leary’s Fine Wines and Spirits, plus delicious cheeses and hors d’oeuvres from some of the area’s best restaurants and caterers. We’re excited to have photographer, producer, graphic designer James Waldron and Esther Sayer, owner of Newburyport’s Inn Street Barbershop, as this year’s co-auctioneers. Our live and silent auctions have something to bid on for absolutely everyone.
New to the event: Ipswich Ale and other tastings from the Mercury Brewing Company, as well as works from local artists. And, well-known artist Alan Bull will be painting a Newburyport scene throughout the evening, to be auctioned-off at the end of the night. Great stuff!
