New Eden Workshop – Build a Hen House

Participants will also learn about the needs of laying hens, their housing requirements, feed suggestions for healthy birds, winter considerations and a bit about different breeds. Holocaust movie to be shown at local synagogue on April 25 In recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day, Congregation Ahavas Achim on Washington and Olive Streets is using a mini-grant from the Newburyport Commission of Diversity and Tolerance to show a film on Sunday, April 25th, from 5 – 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Babysitting will be available, and refreshments will be served. “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” is an award-winning film set during World War II about Bruno, the 8-year-old son of a commandant at a concentration camp, whose forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the camp fence has startling and unexpected consequences. April 11th marked the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Nazi concentration camps at the end of World War II.
