Featured Artist Reception at the NAA

Karen Jones of Newburyport is the Featured Artist at the Newburyport Art Association from March 18-31, 2010 in the Hills Gallery.

Ms. Jones has been a member  and has taught classes in pastels for the past  4 years.  She received her education from the Museum School at the MFA and is currently with 2 well-known galleries, Renjeau  in Natick and Sheldon Gallery in Newport, RI.  Her work in pastels and acrylics is inspired by well-known artist, Wolf Kahn and several others who work in a similar style – a very loose, bold and colorful technique.  She has also recently taken an interest in digital photography and will have several photographs from a recent trip to the island of San Miguel in the Azores.

There will be a reception on Friday, March 19, 2010 from 7-9 pm in the Hills Gallery.
