Newburypot Education Foundation puts the “F-u-n” in Fundraiser

The public is invited to the Newburyport Education Foundation’s (NEF) 6th Annual Adult Spelling Bee on Friday, April 9 at Nicholson Hall at 7 p.m. The costumes, the hilarity, and the good-natured competition among the spellers make this one of the NEF’s most popular and successful fundraisers for the Newburyport Public Schools. Organizers say this year will be even better because audience members will get to participate and win prizes.

After two months of doing this program, the harder issue for most people in the groups is doing more exercise, yet they are all making incredible progress and feel they have improved their fitness since starting. What is interesting is that almost everyone feels they have a good handle on portion control, are easily choosing healthier foods and planning balanced meals and snacks. And I would agree looking at their weekly journals…
