Community Suppoeted Agriculture and Community Supported Fisheries are a fantastic opportunity for small-scale farmers and fishersman to join forces with local consumers. The idea is pretty simple. Your household or family becomes a “shareholder” in a local farm and/or fishery by making a commitment to buy from a farm/fishery before the start of the growing/fishing season. The farm and the fishery then harvests their fresh produce and seafood each week specifically for you at the peak of freshness.
