Brrr! Baby It’s Cold Outside

Cooking and baking with your kids is a great way to warm up and have fun during the cold, dreary days of January. There are plenty of great locations that host cooking classes for children of all ages. Or venture slightly north to the always, fun, Screamers Cafe in Stratham, NH for Preschooler Cooking classes. Leslie and her team offer weekly classes geared towards preschoolers with the “I can do it myself” attitude. Your child will be hands-on in this fun learning experience! They will make a version to take home and try a version at the restaurant. It’s a great way to show off their cooking talents to moms, dads, grandparents, friends, etc! Two morning sessions are offered each week-Thursdays and Fridays, 10:00-10:45am, plus Screamers books private parties. The Newburyport Mother’s Club is planning a “Make a Valentine’s Pizza at Screamers Cafe” event on Thursday, February 11, 4-5:30 PM. Kids will make a Valentine’s Day heart shaped pizza and decorate a heart shaped cookie while it cooks. Cost is $8.75 per child, and $5 for additional siblings. Best for ages 2+. Members may reserve their spot on the NMC BigTent.
