The Massachusetts Audubon Society’s Joppa Flats Education Center announces the opening of an exhibit featuring the watercolor paintings of Peabody artist Paula Kulas. The show, entitled “Exploring Nature,” will be held in the Center’s Juliet Kellogg French Room from January 10 through February 21, 2010.

In February, when everything else is cold and asleep for the winter, the Newburyport area along the river is alive with the spectacular sight of wintering Bald Eagles flying, fishing, and sitting in the sun – and people want to see them. At the Eagle Festival, your local bird experts (staff and volunteers from Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center and the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge) find the birds, answer the questions, and offer special free events to eagle fans all day long.
