Newburyport Mother’s Club, a local all-volunteer social club that boasts over 700 area families as members, is excited to contribute to “Whiny Wednesdays”! There are plenty of activities this week to keep the kiddos busy as the weather starts to get chilly! Here’s a quick roundup of a few things to consider.
Farm Friends

Children 3 to 6, and a favorite adult of their choosing are invited to share in some fun-filled, farm adventures which will connect them to daily life at Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm. Each Farm Friends program includes a story time, outdoor experience (weather permitting), and a craft project which you can take home. On occasion, there will be visits from some warm and fuzzy guests which will surely liven up your farm visit. Programs run in 6 week series, but you may attend individual sessions. Themes may include, but are not limited to: baby goats, pigs, lambs, ponies, ducks, and turkeys. Please contact the farm for the latest themes.
Ages 3 to 6. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cost: $7.00 per child for Historic New England members. $10 per child, non-members.
Registration is required. There is a maximum of 12 children per session, so please register early.
Babytime Mother Goose on the Loose Session

Mother Goose on the Loose is an early literacy program that uses rhymes and songs to help pre-reading children get ready for reading. It incorporates music, movement, ritual, repetition, positive reinforcement, developmental tips, nursery rhymes, illustrations, puppets, musical instruments, colored scarves, and book reading into a fun-filled thirty minute session for children with their parent or caregiver. Kid’s Movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks
When: Mon Nov 23, 2009, 5-7 pm
Where: Stage 2 Cinema Pub, 109 Main St., Amesbury

AN NMC EXCLUSIVE EVENT FOR MEMBERS! If you have not been to Stage 2 Cinema Pub yet, be prepared for a unique experience. This is a small, family owned theater with big comfy seats and tables for you to enjoy the film while you also eat dinner! Stage 2 offers a full, pub style menu and bar offerings as well as a special kids menu just for us! You can bring the kids in their pjs, order your meal, watch the show and have a relaxing, entertaining night with your family! Best for ages 5 and up.
