Newburyport Today is pleased to be working with WNBP to promote our calendar listings on a weekly basis. Listen for our running every Friday and Saturday on the station. On Friday head out for some family fun over to Spencer Pierce Little farm for “Farm Friends” this great program features a different theme, highlighted by a story, a craft project and a visit from a furry or feathered friend each week. – Or check outBeachcombing for Beginers at Joppa Flats where children ages 3-6 can explore the ecology, sights, and sounds of Plum Island.

Get up early on Saturday and head to Joppa Flats for two diffrent birding programs, Fall Birding on Cape Annor Saturday Morning Birding.

If you have a toddler get to the library by 9:00am to sign up for the next four week sessions of their “Mother Goose Story Time”.

Start early and get some of your holiday shopping done – take your pick from two different craft fairs. Visit the 26th Annual Great Pumpkin Craft Fair at the Page School in West Newbury or stop by the 1st annual Newburyport High School Holiday Festival.

Saturday is also the annual meeting of the Merrimack River Watershed Council. In addition to the meeting, the day’s activities include a guided walking tour and refreshments.

Saturday it’s your last chance to get over to the Art Association to see the Photo Interest Group’s exhibit. The NAA is open from 11-5.

On Saturday night join the Firehouse for a wild and fun theatre adventure of “Random Acts”: an evening of seven plays written, cast, rehearsed, performed, and staged in just 24 hours!

On Sunday the Fall Farmer’s Market continues from 10-1. Join them indoors and out at the Tannery for seasonal vegetables, freshly baked goodies, crafts, and live music in the new indoor “Market Cafe”

The Library hosts a “A Vaudeville Retrospective” at 2:00 PM where you can take part in a lively illustrated lecture, performance and exhibition.

Joppa Flats opens their new exhibit “Colors of a Changing Sanctuary” with a reception for artist Janis Sanders in the Juliet Kellogg French Room at 2:30pm.
