NECC Presents A Christmas Carol
During the second weekend in December, Northern Essex Community College will present its 10th annual production of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” featuring NECC theater professor Jim Murphy as Scrooge. The performance will be held in the newly renamed Chester W. Hawrylciw Theater on the third floor of the Spurk Building on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St., Friday, Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 12, at 3 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec.13 at 3 p.m.
The production will feature NECC students, faculty and staff as well as members of the community. Two local Newburyport families will be well represented in this year’s production. Colin Budzyna, his little sister Maggie, and their father John will perform as well as Karl and Paula Chambers who will play charity man and Mrs. Fezziwig respectively.
The performance is directed by Jim Murphy. Musical direction is by NECC professor Alisa Bucchierre and set design is by NECC professor Susan Sanders.
