This past month, Anna Jaques Hospital unfurled its Roadmap to Wellness, as part of its popular Women’s Night Out series. Roadmap to Wellness was created to help women identify the roadblocks in their lives that prevent them from implementing healthy changes.
Nearly everyone wants to be healthy, but making changes – and keeping them – is often daunting. The media has successfully convinced us that we need to eat perfectly, exercise all the time, and be thin. This distortion is discouraging, and prevents many women from taking just one step toward a healthier lifestyle.
Roadmap to Wellness is a free three-part series to get beyond these roadblocks, accept ourselves, and work toward permanent healthy changes. Click here to view the gallery from the first AJH Roadmap to Wellness event with Dr. Susan Allen and Dr. Dan Eyink. They helped participants identify roadblocks to personal wellness, and how to align actions with desires.
Please look around the AJH Make One Change website for more tips and tools to help facilitate positive health changes, and stay tuned for details about upcoming Roadmap to Wellness events:
February: Did you make one step toward change? If so, how do you make it a permanent change.
March: Create a collage of the vision you have for your life.
