Newburyport Today is welcomes back local photographer Mariah Gale for her weekly post. Please look for Mariah strolling around Newburyport snapping photos and asking “what’s the word on the street?”
Rachel Brady, from New Jersey, photographs the picturesque New England scene of fishing boats in fog from the waterfront. "I'm here visinting my granddaughter, Kaia," she says. Kaia is 7 months, and is sure to have some great pictures taken of her by her grandmother!

Emma, 16 months, had a blast on the slide at the tot lot. "We're from Amesbury," her mom said, and "just about to eat lunch at the Purple Onion".
Lindsay and Jessica pose in their fabulous outfits while strolling around town. "We're looking for a space," they said, for Lindsay and co-owner Valerie's store 'Bobbles and Lace', that already has locations in Boston and Marblehead. No doubt they'll be a stylish addition to downtown Newburyport!
Becca, out for a stroll while babysitting, pushes Phoebe along the waterfront. "We're from right up the street," she said, and Phoebe patiently posed for the camera.
Melissa, from Lynn, poses on one of the many interactive scultpures on the waterfront, while waiting to board the Prince of Wales. "We're going to a benefit for the Blue Ocean Society," Melissa said, a non-profit group from New Hampshire that supports Marine Conservation.
